This home-made banner made it all the way from Scotland to the Estadio Nacional – then over the moat and on to the pitch in celebration of Celtic’s greatest victory.
The two Celtic fans holding it weren’t to know that the Champions Cup would be re-designed for the winners of the ’67 final – and no-one told the match programme cover designer either. But what a grand old banner – players, shamrocks, the lot. Hope it’s lying safe in someone’s loft!

Great photo, but the guy at the front, white shirt and baseball cap, is he on his mobile phone?
It looks like it Pat but surely a mobile phone in 1967 would have been bigger than that banner?!? Maybe on a walkie-talkie to his mate in the main stand . . .
